Record your dream

Date, title, and what you remember. A separate Thoughts field keeps your interpretations next to the dream instead of mixed into it. Everything beyond the text is optional.

See what your dreams are made of

Your lucid rate, your top tags, and a heatmap of the nights you remembered a dream. Every tag has numbers of its own: how often it appears, what share of your journal it covers, when it first and last showed up. What you make of it is up to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does reDream interpret my dreams?

No. reDream records and counts. It doesn't interpret. There is no AI reading your entries and no symbol database suggesting meanings. You write, you tag, and you decide what a dream means, if anything.

Is reDream really completely offline?

Yes. reDream works without an internet connection and never uploads anything. There are no accounts, no cloud sync, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.

Where are my dreams stored?

In a local database on your device. reDream never sends them anywhere: there is no server, and the developer has no way to see your entries. The usual Android protections apply, so other apps can't read reDream's data. Anyone you hand your unlocked phone to is a different matter, which is what the app lock is for.

What happens if I lose my phone?

Data that never leaves your device is also never backed up for you. That is the trade-off of real privacy. Export your journal regularly, to a file or via Drive, Dropbox, or any app you trust. Restoring on a new phone is a single import.

Are exports encrypted?

No, exports are plain, readable files. That is intentional: your journal stays usable without reDream, forever. It also means a backup is only as private as the place you keep it, so choose that place the way you'd choose where to keep a paper journal.

Can someone who picks up my phone read my journal?

Not if you turn on the app lock. reDream then asks for your device's own screen lock (fingerprint, face, or PIN) every time it opens. reDream never sees your credentials.

Does reDream support lucid dreaming?

Yes. Mark any entry as lucid and reDream tracks your lucid rate over time, shows lucid nights on your yearly heatmap, and breaks down the lucid share of every tag.

How do tags work?

You create them. Tag people, places, emotions, themes, whatever fits how you dream. Rename, merge, or delete tags later as your system evolves. Dreams that share tags are linked as related entries.

Can reDream remind me to write?

Yes, there is an optional daily reminder that can be enabled in the settings.

Is reDream free?

Yes. reDream is free, with no ads and no subscription. If it is useful to you, there is an optional Ko-fi where I post updates and you can support development.

Which languages does reDream work in?

Any. Dreams and tags are yours to write however feels right. reDream doesn't process your text, so no language is unsupported.

Is reDream available for iPhone?

reDream is currently Android-only, available on Google Play. It is a solo-developed project, growing feature by feature.
